Frequently Asked Questions

Is Omnisphere Worth the Money?

There's no getting around it, Omnisphere is expensive. However, it's also probably the best virtual synth on the market today. It can make deep, complex, and refined sounds that no other synth can come close too.

It's main selling point is the huge amount of included presets that pretty much cover every type of sound you will ever need. And even if you can't find the perfect preset right away, the fantastic Sound Match button allows you to browse through similar sounding patches quickly and easily, which is a great feature.

So yeah, Omnisphere is worth the money, but you might need to save for a while...

Is Omnisphere Better than Serum?

Serum is the better synth for learning sound design and is less than half the price of Omnisphere. Omnisphere is better for the sheer amount and variety of included sounds, and the fact it supports pretty much all types of sound synthesis.

Can I Use Omnisphere Without a DAW?

Yes, you can. Since 2018, a standalone version of Omnisphere is now included with the product and is available for free for existing customers.
